Scope

Standardization and specification of thermal insulating products, components and installed systems for application in buildings, including insulation for equipment, and industrial insulation, covering and including:

  • specification of required properties
  • specification of specific test methods for products, components and systems (communicating with SC1, which has responsibility for horizontal test methods)
  • specification and proof of conformity
  • marking and labelling of insulating materials, components and systems
  • specification for installation
  • specification for applications
